Where are you at on you today?
How are you handling hard news, curveballs and question marks?
The towel is the international sign, or at least can be, of quitting.
Throwin’ it in…giving up. Hanging it up.
May I suggest a different approach.
Take it off the rack and use it to help you stay in the game.
Wipe the sweat from your head. I get it. It’s been hard. But when you do this something happens…
There is more room for more sweat.
And that should energize you.
You have more to offer. Your talent is worth more than giving in to what might look easy.
I promise you one thing today…
If it looks easy you don’t want it.
Instead of tossing in the towel today, maybe it’s time to reach for it.
And when there is more room for more sweat, you are closer to the results you want that others will quit before they get to.
I didn’t say it was easy.
But easy isn’t what you want anyway.
That’s why you are frustrated.
Because deep down you know you are worth the extra effort. Extra time. Extra energy.
And so is everyone that will learn from you and benefit from your tenacity along the way.
Stand by the water cooler long enough and you won’t lack for ways to throw in the towel.
It’s a convention of under performers and constant complainers.
Choose different today.
Grab the towel.
Not to throw it in.
To wipe away the sweat and keep going.
The first is #Fail.
The second helps you pass the towel test with flying colors.
